User Guide
Follow these simple steps to start distributing payslips with Sheldon Sender.
Download & Install
Download Sheldon Sender for your operating system and install it.
- Download the appropriate version for your OS (macOS or Windows)
- For macOS: Open the .dmg file and drag Sheldon Sender to Applications
- For Windows: Run the .exe installer and follow the prompts
- First launch may require security approval (see notes in download section)
Sign In & Activate
Sign in with Google and activate your license.
- Launch Sheldon Sender and click 'Sign in with Google'
- Authorize the app to access your email for sending
- Free trial: Start using immediately with 50 free emails
- Paid plans: Enter your license key from the Purchase page
Configure SMTP
Set up your email sending settings.
- Go to Settings tab in the app
- Enter your SMTP server details (Gmail, Outlook, or custom)
- For Gmail: Use smtp.gmail.com with App Password
- Test the connection before sending
Upload Employee List
Import your employee data from CSV or Excel.
- Prepare a CSV/Excel with columns: employee_id, email, name (optional)
- Click 'Select Employee CSV/Excel' in the Setup tab
- The app will validate and display matched employees
- Review any errors or missing data before proceeding
Upload Payslips
Select your payslip PDF files for distribution.
- Name PDF files with employee IDs (e.g., S116.pdf, payslip_S116.pdf)
- Click 'Select Payslip PDFs' and choose your files
- The app automatically matches PDFs to employees
- Review matches and resolve any unmatched files
Send Payslips
Customize your email template and send.
- Go to Email Template tab to customize your message
- Use variables like {{employee_name}} for personalization
- Preview your email before sending
- Click 'Send All Payslips' and monitor progress
How to Purchase & Activate
Ready to upgrade from the free trial? Here's how to purchase and activate your license:
- 1Go to the Purchase page and select your plan (Basic or Pro)
- 2Complete payment via bank transfer (QR code) or card payment through SePay
- 3Receive your license key via email within minutes of payment confirmation
- 4Open Sheldon Sender → Settings → Enter your license key → Click Activate
